Coriander seeds
Coriander, also known as Chinese parsley, is an annual herb belonging to the Apiaceae family. The stems and leaves of the plant are often referred to as cilantro.

Coriander is used in cuisines worldwide, and the crushed seeds have a citrusy, lemony flavour. They are described as warm, nutty, and spicy, with an orange-like nuance. Coriander seeds are a key ingredient in garam masala and Indian curries, often paired with cumin. They are also widely used in vegetable pickling. In Germany and South Africa, coriander seeds are used in sausages, while in Russia and Central Europe, they can be found in rye bread, such as Borodinsky bread, as an alternative to caraway. Additionally, coriander seeds are also used in the production of some beers, particularly Belgian wheat beers.
